"All-Square" is the trade name for Pewag's long-wearing alloy square link chain. This chain was especially designed by Pewag for superior wear and traction under the most sever snow and ice conditions.

What makes "All-Square" outlast the standard carbon steel and "V"-Bar twist-link chains four-to-one at a minimum?

· ALLOY CONTENT This fine grain nickel manganese alloy offers extreme hardness as well as tensile strength. Inside hardness is at approximately 51 RHC. That's like tool steel hardness!! Want more?

· CASE HARDNESS Our outside hardness is at 63 RHC with a .06% depth. Most twist-link carbon chains have a RHC of 53 with a .03% depth of hardness. Not convinced yet?

· LINK DESIGN Pewag's special square link design offers superior traction over twist link designs. Why? Because there is more chain in contact with the road, with more "leading" edges to grip ice and snow. The square design wears more evenly, unlike the twist link that wears only on the high points (where, by the way, all torque is concentrated). So no do we have you thinking?

· REVERSIBLE Yes, the square link allows you to reverse the chain and wear it on the other side. Because of the high tensile strength, you can wear on side down, reverse it, and have the wear and strength of another chain.
